On January 18, 2025, Walter Johnson Jr. and members of Lodge 765 united with local lodges across Palm Beach County to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a powerful and inspiring march through the streets of the community. The joint effort brought together members of the fraternity and the wider Palm Beach community in a show of solidarity, unity, and dedication to Dr. King’s vision of equality, justice, and service.

The event, which took place annually as part of the local celebrations for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, featured hundreds of participants, each carrying Dr. King’s message forward. Walter Johnson Jr., an influential figure in both Lodge 765 and the broader Palm Beach community, played a central role in organizing the collaboration between the lodges.

“We wanted to make sure our participation reflected Dr. King’s values of unity, brotherhood, and respect for all people,” said Johnson. “By teaming up with the local Palm Beach lodges, we were able to demonstrate the power of coming together for a common cause—celebrating Dr. King’s legacy and continuing the fight for equality and justice in our own community.”

The march, which was attended by community members, civic leaders, and supporters of Dr. King’s message, showcased the strength of local lodges in promoting unity across diverse groups. Their work extends beyond the parade itself, with year-round community service projects aimed at improving the lives of those in need and fostering unity within Palm Beach County.

As the march concluded, those who participated felt an overwhelming sense of pride, knowing that they had come together to carry forward the torch of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s enduring vision. The partnership between Lodge 765, Walter Johnson Jr., and the local lodges exemplified the power of collaboration and community-driven efforts to create lasting change.
